Hi, I’m Ash — the heart behind Roaming Roots.

Roaming Roots was born from my love of plants, outdoor spaces, and creating environments that help people feel calm, connected, and at home.

Last summer, my wife Kimayo and I started renovating our camper while leaning more fully into RV life and dreaming about future travels. Spending more time outdoors and simplifying our lifestyle shifted our perspective in a meaningful way and deepened our relationship with nature, intentional living, and the environments we create around us.

That experience naturally became part of the heart behind Roaming Roots — a reminder that thoughtfully cared-for spaces, whether indoors or outside, can deeply impact how we feel and connect with ourselves, and the world around us.

I believe plants and gardens do more than simply look beautiful — they change the feeling of a space. Whether caring for indoor plants, refreshing a garden bed, or supporting a local business with plant care, my goal is always to help create spaces that feel welcoming, peaceful, and thoughtfully cared for.

At its heart, Roaming Roots is about helping people reconnect with nature through the spaces they live, work, and gather in.
